The following are the types and purposes of the evaluations we offer:
Performed by a licensed psychologist, this type of evaluation will provide an assessment of the individual’s current mental health status including any clinical diagnosis and recommendations for further mental health treatment. Fee for Service Cost: $700
TIPS Evaluation: Designed for the parent who is desiring parenting education and support services, This evaluation will assess the parents strengths and needs collaboratively in an effort to pinpoint the areas of need and how the parent can best benefit from our intensive parenting services. Recommendations will include both community resources as well as specific parenting skills that can be forwarded to an ABC parent educator or collateral provider to support the parents goal of improving their parental skills. This is not a custodial or forensic evaluation. Fee for Service Cost: $800 ($200 additional for 2nd parent)
FAST Evaluation: Known by the legal system as a Parental Fitness evaluation, this is a forensic, multi faceted evaluation that couples both a psychological exam, identifying emotional or intellectual barriers a parent may exhibit, with additional objective measures to assess parental risk and skill levels. This evaluation includes a minimum of two parent/child observations and collateral contacts with other service providers, or individuals connected to the parent in some way as to offer insight into historic behaviors. The objective of this evaluation is to get a comprehensive forensic evaluation of a parents strengths and needs, typically used to determine the parental capabilities to assist in custodial matters. THIS IS NOT A CUSTODY EVALUATION, whereby one parent is chosen over another, it merely offers information about a parents strengths and needs and recommendations to support reunification goals. Fee for Service ranges from $1500 to $2500 depending on number of parents and children involved.
Performed by a Board Certified Licensed Clinical Therapist, this evaluation provides an assessment of one’s current level of coping and ability to manage anger. The evaluator will gather psycho-social information as well as utilize standardized clinical assessment tools. The result will be to determine to what degree if any they are in need of further counseling or treatment interventions. This evaluation is often used by lawyers/probation officers/judges to determine clients need for services or interventions. Fee for Service Cost: $450
Home Safety Evaluations
Performed by Parenting Consultants / Licensed Social Worker with expertise in the State and County Family and Children Service Agencies, the purpose of evaluation is to determine if a home meets the minimum requirement by the County to be considered a safe environment for children. Final report will include pictures of the premises and surroundings. This assessment is often requested when out-of-state custodial arrangements are being made. Fee for Service Cost: $600 (Cost may be adjusted if over 30 miles from office.)
